Teacher Information
Mrs T. Wood teaches Class 1. She has always wanted to be a
teacher, and trained in Swansea. Her favourite subjects are Literacy and P.E.
Mrs Wood loves to spend time with her family and friends, and going for long
walks with her two dogs, Duke and Mac. She enjoys riding her bike in the Forest,
and finding new places to visit. Her hobbies are travelling, gardening, cooking
and watching bands play live gigs.
Mrs J. Wood is Class 2's teacher. She went to Caerleon College,
part of the University of Wales. Her favourite subject is Maths. She enjoys
walking, gardening, cooking and listening to music by Bach. She has 2 pet cats.
Before she became a teacher Mrs Wood was a tax officer.
Mrs Spooner is Class 3's teacher. Mrs Spooner also went to Caerleon
College. She really enjoys teaching Literacy in school. She likes walking,
gardening, reading (especially detective stories) and listening to music. Her
favourite groups are Simply Red, Fleetwood Mac and E.L.O. Mrs Spooner has a cat
called Bob, a labrador puppy called Shadow and 2 goldfish called Shimmer and
Shine. Mrs Spooner was a nurse at St Lawrence Hospital burns unit and later a
Health Visitor, before she started teaching.
Mr Tovey teaches Class 4 and is also the Deputy Head of the
School. He quaified as a teacher at Warwick University. His favourite subject is
Science. In his spare time he watches rugby, reads lots of books and enjoys
walking in the countryside. His favourite groups are Pink Floyd, The Who and Led
Zeppelin. Before becoming a teacher Mr Tovey worked as a Rubber Technologist.
Miss Woskett is the Class 5 teacher. She trained at the
University of Gloucester (Cheltenham).Like Mrs Wood her favourite subject is
Maths. She enjoys reading, swimming, walking and listening to all kinds of
music, including James Blunt and Take That. Miss Woskett has a Staffordshire
Bull Terrier called Bruno.
Mrs Harris is our headteacher, but she also teaches
sometimes. She trained at Portsmouth University. She had trouble choosing one
favourite subject, but does like maths, science and art. She enjoys photography,
playing woodwind instruments (but not very well) and renovating her very old
house. Her music preferences are varied from classical composers like Bruch to
rock like Aerosmith with a bit of Snow Patrol in between! Mrs Harris has always
been a teacher, but had some interesting student jobs like putting plastic
shrink wrap on games, interior decorating show houses and working in a hospital
with schizophrenic patients
